WHAT IF I'M NOT USE TO ATTENDING CHURCH?

No problem! We work to make sure that you will find our church to be a comfortable place.  We want you to know that we recognize that no one is perfect and each of us is at a different place in our spiritual growth.  We won't have you stand to tell us your name or embarrass you in any way.  We do have a three “hug policy.”  Our Greeters and Gatekeepers will give you hugs to welcome you to the Village.  We hope that you find our church to be a place where you can have your questions answered in a non-threatening atmosphere.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

At the Village we know that life gets pretty complicated.  Church shouldn’t be.  Please dress in what you feel is casual and comfortable. You will see many people who wear jeans and you will see some in slacks and others in suits.  You wear what’s appropriate for you.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

We have an incredible Children’s Ministry!  Before worship begins feel free to check your children into KIDZONE and know that they will be in an area that is engaging and informative.  Oh, and it is FUN too!

CAN I INVITE MY FRIENDS?

Please do.  We want to be a welcoming faith family that encourages you to reach out and bring new people with you.

WHAT KIND OF CHURCH IS THE VILLAGE OF FAITH?

We are a Bible based, Spirit led family church. We are a non-denominational, multicultural church that focuses on every area of family life.

THESE ANSWERS WERE OKAY, BUT HOW CAN I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE CHURCH?

Our Story

As a result of God's intervention, the Village of Faith Ministries was launched on December 4, 2005. We went door-to-door sharing our story, in order to reach families with the simple gospel message that would serve as a catalyst for them to change their lives for the better.

We averaged over 200 attendees in only two months, so we moved to the local high school and that's when the floodgates opened. In May 2006, we acquired 18.25 acres of land in Eastern Henrico for a purchase agreement. The required funds were raised by only 200 members. The Village of Faith had over 400 members by the end of its first full year.

As we began our second year of ministry, our vision was to be one church in two locations. On Easter Sunday of 2007, we opened our second location in adjacent Chesterfield County. In October of 2010 we tore down the tents because God had given us two buildings at the same time. Our ministry has served over 30,000 lunches to the homeless, given 1,500 bicycles to area children, given away 60 cars to single mothers, and given away over 100,000 eggs at Easter. As we look to the future, we are thankful for what God has built and excited for what God is going to build through all of us. We know that we cannot do it alone. But together and with God’s help, we know that we can “Reach Families and Change Lives.”

Our Story

God launched the Village of Faith Ministries on December 4, 2005. With a vision to “Reach families with a simple gospel message that will help them change their lives”, we set out about this mission going door to door to share our story.

With 44-members joining on the first day and averaging over 200 people in attendance after only two months, we changed locations to the local high school and that’s when the flood gates of heaven opened. In May of 2006, during our first full year, we put together a purchase agreement to acquire 18.25 acres of land in Eastern Henrico. With only 200 members we raised the necessary funds to close on the property. In first year as well we launched the Celebrate Life Broadcast, which airs every Sunday morning. By the end of our first full year over 400 people called themselves members of the Village of Faith.

During our second year of ministry it was our vision to be one church in two locations. So on Easter Sunday of 2007 we launched our second location in adjacent Chesterfield County. In October of 2010 we tore down the tents because God had given us two buildings at the same time. To date our ministry has served over 30,000 lunches to the homeless, given 1,500 bicycles to area children, gave away 18 cars to single mothers and over 100,000 eggs at Easter time. As we look to the future, we are thankful for what God has built and excited for what God is going to build through all of us. We know that we cannot do it alone. But together and with God’s help, we know that we can “Reach Families and Change Lives.”
